Short version: Taking medication for mental illness, neurological disorders, or anything that may result in a person not being "normal" mentally means that the are stifling your creativity and being untrue to your genetic self.

Date: 2010-06-10 06:27 pm (UTC)My periods of non-functionality have made me very aware of how lucky I am that most of the time I can perform pretty well without drugs. I do have a deep-rooted dislike of drugs, but that's a very personal hang-up based on various things in my life that one day I would really like to get over.
The sheer amount of privilege backing that statement is incredible. Being forgetful and slightly moody =/= manic depression. SHUT UP, ROBIN HOBB.
